Leafs trade Kerfoot and Engval and a second to Arizona for Dvorak. The second becomes a first of Leafs win the cup.
Shore up the Leafs down the middle. We have parts we can move around on the wing. Plus rumour is I Montreal is interested. They need another kick in the nuts. Saw Marner play with him at the Memorial Cup in Red Deer the line was unstoppable. Gives the Leafs more Center depth should an injury occur and what a group up the middle.
Robertson. Matthews. Marner.
Ritchie Tavares. Nylander
Bunting. Dvorak. Mikheyev
Spezza. Kemf Simmonds

I like Dvorak. Would be crazy to say you don't especially with his contract.
I'm not sure if this gets it done but it might. Even if something smaller is added I probably say yes.
The only thing I caution is LW depth. Moving Kerfoot without bringing someone back is tough. I know here in Leaf-land Sandin is Lidstrom in the making and Luc Robitaille has nothing on Robertson but Robertson hasn't actually done anything yet. It's a stretch to assume he's a first line winger.

Not sure this gets it done as ARZ is definitely in full rebuild. Both guys they get are just as old or older than the guy they are trading. For Dvorak to go to the Leafs, at $4.45M, he has to be playing in the top 6 for it to make sense imo.

I think if it was even Engvall, Sandin and a 2nd they thing about it. We couldn't afford the cap hit anyway.

@JDB I think Sandin is highly touted enough that Kerfoot+3rd-4th get it done. Or what RLF said.

I think Dvorak is wanted by too many teams that the price will be driven up.

@JdB. That's a fair point. The team most willing to give up good picks and prospects would be the front runner most likely. ARZ may take on an expiring contract of similar value if necessary to get more value.

@RLF I don't think Engvall is worth much beyond a 7th.
Sandin might be worth a 1st but that's debatable. If he is in fact worth a first, then you are correct and that's the right value.

To me Engvall and Sandin equals a late 1st and a 2nd is a well, a 2nd. Maybe I am overvaluing Engvall and Sandin.
