If Marner does walk the first target will be Sam Bennett

It’s the physical game that he plays that makes Toronto want him. Sam is listed at 6-1. and 195 lbs the thing about Bennett is he plays like he is 250 lbs. He lays people out like Scott Stevens did. If your too young to remember Scott look up the Scott Stevens hit on Eric Lindros . Scot was only 6 foot tall& 200 lbs but he Basically ended the career of Lindos who was 6-4 and 230 Lbs. Stevens knocked Lindros into the next century. So Sam Bennett really hits hard and opens up ice watch him against Toronto he is going to do so much damage that Reaves will dress for Leafs b4 the series ends .

The more I process this series in my mind the more I think Toronto can’t win. Paul Maurice is preaching to his players just split the first two games and that’s what is going to happen. I predict Florida take game one.

Marner has done something really dumb he has painted himself into a corner. if Leafs lose this series Marner will be lowballed so badly he goes somewhere else. I predict Leafs will sign Duchene and Bennett for the combined total of $12 million.

I can't see Florida letting Bennett go anywhere. Duchene doesn't interest me he'll be 34 I'd rather Ehlers plus another high end forward if Mitchy walks. Hopefully that doesn't happen.
