Anaheim came out today and said they need to target a winger, and hunwick adds some age to their bottom pairing on D.

Maybe a little inflated, but Lou seems to be getting more than we could of expected.

Becoming harder and harder to acquire another teams 1st round pick. I would love to get a 1st for 2 veteran players not apart of the leafs future, but I don't think PAP has reached that level of performance. It does open up the possible rumour of moving a younger offensively talent defenceman from the ducks by acquiring Hunwick. Lou has been getting better value than expected but its because he's taking picks in later years and contracts expiring and unwanted. I don't even know if Colorado knew who Colin Smith was.

Don't understand the logic from Ana point of view here - they are loaded with plenty of quality "D" players so why would they have interest in Hunwick?

Rather than their #1 Pick - would try to get one of their quality "D" guys - Shea Theodore.

Just a different point of view. If they would accept Hunwick and PAP plus the pick for their #1 - I'd go for that too.

Ducks need depth forward and scoring up front. No need for defenders so it won't happen. If PA gets a 2nd rounder I'm happy.
