While looking at trade rumers saw some couple off good ones.

Only if leafs sign stamkos

-To blues- Nazem kadri, and 2nd rounder.

-To Leafs- Kevin shattinkirk.

It wouldn't make sence kadri on the trhird line would it.

-To Sabers- Luple, pitts 1st round

- To Leafs- Ryan O Rielly, possibly 6th rounder

Maybe place O Rielly as a right winger.

Although the value is there, I doubt the Leafs trade Kadri after just re-signing him. They didn't have to sign him when they did.

Why would they trade kadri if we just signed him to a 6 year contract

While I agree that it's not likely they trade Kadri, keep in mind that is a very tradeable contract. He's locked in for 6 years at a very reasonable cap hit of $4.5M/year. This is a excellent value for a proven #2 center.

"IF" the Leafs do end up with Stamkos, then who knows!

Why would buffalo give up ROR for a cap dump and a VERY late first? He's a 24 year old who can play 1st-2nd line C and W.

Well Kadri did sign with toronto about 6 million it would be some cap space for leafs. But if leafs sign with him and later on think to trade him if they draft matthews and sign stamkos pretty sure Kadri won't like playing in the 3rd line and won't make sence him playing wing definently not defence. And i'm pretty sure Buffalo would take Lupul and give O Rielly to toronto and then trade Lupul for a young Prospect.
