So revisiting the nylander for pesce trade that rlf posted below. Let's look at all the options we would have been afforded.

- point one we wouldn't need to trade kadri for cap restraints.

-We wouldn't have to sign Brodie for 5 million.

-We wouldn't have to trade kapanen or johnsson

-We could then have taken a run at markstrom and traded Andersen.

Andersen to Edmonton for James Neal and 2 firsts one for taking Neal and one for Andersen.

Let’s not pretend that kadri was traded due to cap reasons he was traded because he could control his emotions which led to hurting the leafs more in the playoffs.

Actually you need to deal kadri for kerfoot now as leafs are .8 over and that’s not including the 1.2 Kessel takes up. So 2 is needed

Kadri and kerfoot differance is 1 so shave 1 million

I’m not sold on markstrom. The defence is basically same just a tad younger now. Yes leafs have better depth but as rnh knows all to well Neal is now a middle 6 guy not too 6. Johnson you can say same.
Andersen won’t get a 1st back on his own. Maybe a 3rd. Either way I prefer kassian over Neal. May not be as offensive but now every line has a dirty guy and some lines 2. Lol

Yeah If you get kassian and now keep kadri i definetly am on board. Neal and no kadri isn’t worth it. Funny how kadri really adds as a 3C PP and can fill in on any line invade of injury or just because. I deal I’d take back but way more to this then him just getting dealt.
