Leafs are going to be rubbish again next year. Might as well run the same gambit of cheap UFAs for picks and start next season with a few of the younger guys to get some experience. Getting yourself hard over the thought of stammer or Matthew's is a pipe dream, settle in get used to losing and we'll come over the hill in 2-3 years with a bevy of good young players.

Shanahan, Hunter and Dubas showed last year at the 2015 draft, that you trade anything for more. More is better. Better chances of selecting a gem if last years draft was evidence to how their draft day system goes.

I agree that more is better but when you look at how many prospects are on the Marlies and Leafs right now it might be good to try and focus on getting 2 or 3 a-list draft picks in the early rounds. I'd love to see the leafs get another top ten pick. And then you still have all those picks later to find a couple hidden or missed talents. that's where Mark Hunter really earns his money. He's a master at finding talent.
