It's interesting to note that there is so much emphasis put on that the Leafs only have a 20% chance of landing the top pick by finishing last, but here are some other stats.

The bottom 4 teams hold a collective 54.5% chance of landing the top pick.

The Leafs if finish last, at worst would pick 4th

The 2nd best option for any single team to win the lottery is 13.5%

Yes, technically the Leafs have the highest probability of picking 4th, but they do hold the highest chance of picking 1st as well!

Draft will be like this:

1. TOR - Matthews
2. WNG - Laine
3. CGY - Puljujarvi
4. EDM - Chychrun
5. BUF - Thachuk.

Yes he did but he did NOT say he was going fourth. He said he might work his way into that position but that he is NOT there yet.

Mackin just cause he compared him to benn doesn't mean he's going to be benn, and just cause he's compared to him doesn't make him go higher in the draft, players are compared to great players then go later in the first in the draft all the time

No one knows what each NHL GM values who at what spot because they aren't even sure of where their team will be selecting until the draft lottery is over. I think most people misconstrue what Craig Button says and he really is a prospect ranker, I don't think he actually means that the team with the 4th overall pick will select Dubois, but that Button ranks him within that group of 4-6 players who can be selected 4th overall. All depends on each teams needs. I remember last year Button put Marner ahead of Strome based on his skill set and others ranking Marner anywhere between 5th-9th on prospect lists. Everyone knows how that turned out. Exciting times
