With the leafs defence playing the way way they have been. we should sign James weisnewski (sp?). I know we are at the 50 contract limit, but Cowan will be bought out finally. And possibly a trade of a few older vets can make room. Trouba will be a long shot. Although it's not looking good for Winnipeg.

Trade kapenen, valeiv, greening to Winnipeg for trouba.

Don't s Winnipeg have much choice? If they want more I'd say no if I'm the leafs

I would wait till we go after any young stud like trouba. we can only protect 3. Zaitsev is safe but by signing as young stud = lose carrick

Win:
44 - Trouba + Kap + Val, + Green = 46 contracts

Other than the merits of the trade and the blatant cap issues; what's the problem with the contracts.
