At least one first rounder. Probably a prospect as wel. Hamilton is worth more than the two players named (as much as I love nylander)

Let me ask you: why would Calgary make this trade?

I can understand why Leafs would want to dump a pending UFA in gardiner and bring in top line RHD along with a natural goal scorer and heavy hitter like Tkachuk to replace Wee Willy. We need a center and Bennett fits the bill. So from Leafs perspective this trade is good.

Now try to see it from Calgary’s perspective. How does this trade benefit Calgary? If you can please explain this trade to me, maybe I can understand it more.

From Calgary's point of view: Tkachuk is a better all round player than Nylander and Hamilton is a better all round defenseman than Gardiner.
