Tweaking someone else's trades big time, but I liked some of them.

Toronto trades Nylander, dermott to the Blues for Parayko

You may have to give up Marner for Parayko, but that depends on whether Pietrangelo re-signs or not. However if St. Louis would make that trade I think the leafs would do it.

For Pesce your probably going to have to give up Kapanen. However again if Carolina would make that trade the leafs should jump all over it.

Overall though, the offence looks a bit worse for wear. However the moves give us cap flexibility as well. I mean it’s interesting for sure. But I don’t see both Marner and Nylander being traded.

Might be better to go after Josh Manson. 1 year older, than Parayko plays the style that fits Morgan's game better. Cheaper option on the cap hit as well, and tough as they come!

Could take back Kesler in the deal for LTIR. Something like this,

ANA trades- Josh Manson, Ryan Kesler, 2nd (2021), + prospect-b level

TOR trades- Kapanen, Bracco, Liljigren, 3rd or 4th.

Leafs would never give up Nylander for a rental+, no matter how good the player. Don't be silly.

I'm surprised. Even DeadHeadWing Dolt's trade for Parayko above makes more sense. Rentals and pending UFA's get either picks/ prospects back, or another player of similar value on a similar contract.

Besides the fact that Parayko is a type of player that Dubas would never want on the team, he is also not worth Nylander. Even Dubas would never make this trade unless he starts to get desperate. Desperate GM's do desperate things. This trade would be an act of desperation .

How is four more years of Nylander not worth renting Hampton for a year, but is worth Parayko for two? Keeping in mind that Hamilton is an infinitely better player than Parayko.

If contracts are taken into account, Nylander is worth more than either.
