This would be a huge trade for both Teams, Vancouver gets a natural fit for Pettersson adding WNylander they also add a young Defenceman in Liljegren they have wanted, a Top Prospect in NRobertson as well as a 1st Round Pick.
This could be the Trade that puts The Leafs to the next level, JTMiller and Garland should get Tavares going on the second line, Kerfoot can drop down a line with Spezza and Simmonds to solidify all 4 lines, LSchenn is more what Toronto needs on Defense.

The Leafs do not need Schenn, they also are not trading those players and a 1st. unrealistic and makes them worse.

Remove Liljegren from the trade.
Trading a 22 year old, RHD, defenseman who has only 35 games experience in the NHL could only be considered poor asset management.
In 35 games Liljegren has already proven he belongs in the NHL where 200 - 250 games of experience is considered necessary before truly learning the trade.
Sandin, Liljegren and Niemala should be considered untouchables until Leafs know what they have.
These 3 along with Morgan Reilly will be the core of the Leafs defense in the future when Muzzin and Brodie retire in 2 years.
