As much as I would like that second overall pick I would hate giving up Danford…
Steady, not flashy he is.
Rielly and the Avs pick won’t get it done so I’m suggesting we add in Carlo.
We get back that sweet pick and draft Reid.

Sorry to say but Tanev will not be playing next year.
He will end up going the same path as Muzzin, and will not risk his health.

I think Toronto could make the trade this way,

How do you figure? Losing Reilly and getting Ferraro. Get Tanev back. Trade for Nemec. Works out well.

What you gonna have to give up to get Nemec? Every team is after Ferraro too I’m sure. Only chance of getting a D is an overpay. If you have the first two picks and don’t get a D out of it, this team is going nowhere.

I would hate to give up Danford and not even sure if that package gets us the 2nd overall because that Reilly's contract is still a tough one to take.

That said….. if it did transpire and we took McKenna and Stenberg #1 and #2. The next move could be a straight up Knies for Faber trade. Pretty even cap exchange and both with no trade protection.

Then we give Either Villeneuve of Chadwick the spot Danford would have had. Neither of them are slouches. They are both playing very good hockey.

Bottom line…. We get a 23 year old stud defenceman to quarterback us for 7 to 9 years. We lose one forward and get 2 top ranked forwards one (Stenberg) who is capable of being a centreman.
