A good case scenario for Leafs at seasons end in my opinion would be. Sign Stamkos 7 yrs 10 mil, with bonuses also, Win lottery, draft Matthews and trade most rentals prior to deadline. Trade Bozak, Lupul, Winnik. Robidas buyout. Trade Kapanen for Fowler (picks could be involved) Resign Reimer 3 years, 3.5 mil AAV

If Leafs win out on stamkos and matthews. There would be a bit of a log jam at centre. In which case Kadri becomes a moveable assets. Perhaps for a goalie or puck moving d.

I think u mean to say best case scenarios. Because getting Matthews is not favoured to the Leafs yet, neither is signing Stamkos. Liked your ideas until u said trade Kapanen for Fowler. The reason we got Gardiner was because Anaheim had both of them and felt their games were too similar to keep both, also there was a scare that Gardiner wouldn't sign with the Ducks out of the Univeristy of Wisconsin. But getting Fowler just doesn't auit our needs in the short or long term on defense.
