Craigger said Nylander Kerfoot for Dubois and Nyquist may work as well. It is now being said that Dubois asked for a trade a wile ago but Clb kept it quiet in fear of an offer sheet. They just extended Bjorkstrand at 5.4 starting next season, so Nylander and his contract might be more attractive than Marner and Nylander has played some C.

Clb picks up speed with two players who can play C. They get more puck skill players over grit players to balance their roster. Both are signed for 3+ years.

Leafs get Dubois, who plays a little more like we need and Tarasov a really good goalie prospect. Clb can afford to move a goalie prospect. Leafs take on one season of Nash's contract to make cap etc work. Nash can play centre and fill in Kerfoot's spot for a season.

If the second deal gets it done I'm in, nash might fit that third line as is a little better as a shutdown type than kerfoot. Man do I ever wish we had kadri manning that third unit. Could you imagine a lineup like

Thorton Matthews marner
Vesey tavares nylander
Micheyev kadri hyman
Simmonds spezza barbanov.

Reilly brodie
Muzzin holl
Dermott Lehtonen

You don't sign bagoshian because he is part of the difference between kadri and kerfoots contract.

Now Thornton still looks out of place on the 1 line so you run

You get your top like to play their top line. If Matthews is making all these strides defensively put him on the ice the most. You would have 1 type of player on each line, trigger man, passer, banger.
