My take is the leafs have 1 to many forwards on the roster because robertson has looked better than most others through camp. You keep vesey happy by trading him with his uni buddy. Therefore not burning bridges with free agents.

I like this except Calgary doesn’t have the space

How about Ryan and Leivo for kerfoot and vesey (25%retained)

Ryan is on waivers and after deal salaries line up to where Calgary gains 200K in which they have in cap space and leafs loss the same to help minimally

The original deal Calgary gains 1.3 in which they don’t have.

I know you didn’t call him one Randy. But a lot of people say Bennett is a bust. And I guess given his draft position, if anyone thought he was going to score 30 goals and get 90 points, I can understand why. But he is absolutely not a bust. He’s a damn good player and would make for a fine replacement for Kerfoot. He is probably a better centre than Kerfoot. I would absolutely love to have a guy like Bennett on the team.
