Nashville gets what they would want in the start of a retool and rebuild.

Toronto gets the Top 6 Forward they have been looking for at a cost but worth the cost in there situation.

Forsberg would definitely be nice in a Leafs Jersey, but the cost is a little high. Take away Sandin.

How about Sandford for sandin. Big lw power forward that can go to the net and score.

Leafs are not deep enough on the blue line to move Sandin now they do have a lot of quality forward prospects that they could move but why wouldn’t they do a Nylander for Forsberg deal from what I know of Forsberg he’s pretty much the same type player as Nylander can’t have two of them imo.

Just my opinion, but if Nashville re-tools, they aren't going to want to be retaining on contracts. I see them doing two types of deals. They are going to want to move higher priced players for lesser priced prospects + and open cap space so they can make other moves or go into a rebuild. Or if you are offering something like Nylander, we take on an expiring contract (Granlund, Haula) + picks/ prospects if they want to get better now and for next season. Don't see them retaining on a guy like Forsberg, especially 50%.

Sanford is getting more minutes this year and producing less. Otherwise he has been similar to Vesey, a guy you want more out of but it never materializes. So no, I don't think we are willing to give up a 20 year old D-man with top 4 potential for an underperforming big man who really doesn't use his size well.
