You always have injuries on D,and size does matter particularly in the playoffs. Leafs would be well advised to sign a well rested & healthy Freddy, ask Pittsburg if they still wish they had Fleury. Andersen will have a stellar year for someone next year. Change the culture, size & D in front of Freedy ! Build a respectable regular season team, that is built for the playoffs. Size, Toughness, Skill Faceoffs, puck possession & PP would be team stregths.

Too bad the habs can sell getzlaf better considering final 4 and Weber and perry all ready are close connected to Getz. So even that idea of having him and perry join leafs is way out there. But it’s not a bad thought

A Stanley Cup is the pipe dream of Leaf Nation is it not? Self evident the roster, scouting, coaching, management needs major changes or a very different approach, multiple 1st round exits demand such.

So you can either build a team good for the playoffs that misses the playoffs in a real season or build a team good for regular season that gets team into playoffs yet unable to be good at playoff hockey due to focus on getting into playoffs.



Or you can fake injuries and build a team with 100 million. Dollars

Problem this league has is it has 2 differant sets of rules between regular and post season so may the dirtiest teams win. 3 of the 4 remaining teams are the dirtiest teams in the nhl while the other one has a 98 million pay roll

With Disney taking over on viewing going to be interesting how playoffs get called next year

Disney just might want skill and speed to be focus thus 2 of these teams left won’t even get in playoffs as their style isn’t family viewer friendly LOL.

@JDB this has been an issue for awhile now. These playoffs it wasn't even regular season and playoff rules. It was game to game rule change.
