A blockbuster deal with Calgary based on the originally suggested trade a couple of days ago.

Cal
Rielly $5M(signs 8X$8M extension)
Kerfoot $3.5M
Mikheyev $1.65M

Tor
Lindholm $4.85
Hanifin $4.95M

Calgary gets a true 1st pair offensive LD in Rielly, which they need and locks him up for 8 years. They also pick up 2 mid 6 forwards with speed that can PK.

Tor picks up a top 6 C/RW who is quite good on the draw. They could try Tavares on the left side or try Marner or Nylander on their off wing in the top 6. Hanifin will fit into their top 4 as a lesser replacement for Rielly at the same money. Both players are cost controlled for 3 seasons which is huge for Toronto.

The cap in/out for both teams is almost even.

If Calgary is allowed to negotiate pre-trade then this could work.

I have absolutely no idea what the plan is for Treliving though. He's making some desperate moves with far more to come soon I'm sure.

I like this for the Leafs though. It adds a bit more depth to the roster while getting something for Rielly in return.

Swap brooks and bunting, bunting is not a defensive specialist either is brooks but we just traded away the 2 players we have that are lol.

I'd love that Calgary trade I don't see it happening lindholm is there most consistent forward.
