Soucy, if Leafs can’t/ don’t resign Schenn.

I would much prefer to trade Nylander and Liljegren to Carolina for Pesce and Jarvis.
But Lawton and Konecny would be my second choice!
If Leafs can sign Duchene for the same money they would pay Bertuzzi I would go that way.
Not because I don’t like Bertuzzi or think he wouldn’t be a good fit on the Leafs, but because he is injured so often and misses so many games each season.
A players availability is as important as other factors in FA signings.
A year ago Duchene was a 43 goal, 86 point, +6 player.
What could he accomplish with Matthews and Marner?

@WB what's with the hate for Bertuzzi? Hes a gritty, physical forward, that showed up in the playoffs.

He'll never sign in Canada, but beyond that, why the hate on him over Deuchene?
