Kraken trade Jared McCann,prospect Shane Wright, Will Borgen and the 8th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry draft to the Maple Leafs

Maple Leafs select Sam Dickenson with the 8th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

I like the trade except for Wright.
Not sold on the kid at all.
I don’t think he will ever be more than a middle 6 player at best.

With the 8th pick I would prefer to see Leafs draft Camden Lidstrom if he is available.
Lidstrom could replace Tavares in a couple of years.
Otherwise one of the RHD.
Dickinson looks like he will be a keeper but he is a LHD which seem to be much easier to acquire than RHD.
Top 4 RHD only seem to be available in the draft, not through trade or free agency.
