Just throwing this one out there. Something different.

Leaf trade
Nic Robertson 875k RFA
Connor Timmins 1.1m RFA
2025 5th

Buffalo trades
Peyton Krebs 1.45m 2 yrs. RFA

Krebs is having a decent year albeit on the 4th line most of the time.
55.6% face-off, only 3 goals and 13 points in 28 games but playing mostly defensive zone starts (almost 70%) Also all his fancy stats numbers look good (although playing against weaker competition)

The Leafs need a 3rd line center, god love Fraser Minton and he's looked good but he needs more time.

Krebs only making 1.45m this year and next then Rfa. So relatively cheap center depth. Also he's only 24 yrs old and still has room to grow.

It's not a home run swing but could be a sneaky pickup from a struggling Sabres team.

But because you are not grumpy you will be lauded for being original and a genius for thinking outside the box

I'd do it. Krebs is a good energy guy that ha some offensive upside. Sticks up for teammates. Berube kind of guy I would think.
Solid prop. Not sure if Leafs would need to add the pick as well, but no biggie if they had to.
