The leafs are setting themselves up for 3 or 4 years of dominance so even letting Minten go won't be the end of the world .

If Vancouver was willing to retain 50% of Miller for this and 3 more years, Van would have traded him by now and for more than this. The Rangers for one, could easily offer more.
