It’s hilarious that some clown actually thinks you could get a pile of first-round picks, a couple of A-level prospects, and a legit 1C for Auston right now. His trade value at the moment is more like a 2nd-rounder, a veteran who’s past his prime, and maybe a B-level prospect. That’s the reality check.

You hockey geniuses kjehkjeh should understand by now that Auston doesn’t have much trade value. Not any more than an older center or another overpriced flop. Kadri has been better than a lazy Auston this season. And Rielly? He’s a terrible defender. Sure, he puts up points sometimes, but I wouldn’t call him a top-3 defenseman on the Leafs, and his contract is way too big for what he brings.

Honestly, I hope Toronto finishes dead last and drafts Mackenna or Tynan Lawrence, and then starts next season with a new coach and no Matthews and Domi. Roy isn’t any better than some of the Marlies’ centers anyway, and he’s easy to replace.

This season’s basically over, and once the playoffs start the Leafs won’t be there (anyone bet? ) . A big trade and a proper tank job would be the best thing that could happen. Next season I’ll either watch every single Leafs game like I’ve done for the last 13 years, or I won’t watch a single one and focus on something smarter than Leafs hockey. I stopped after game number 22 this year — that was enough of that garbage.
