Maybe a bit too many forwards as I never even mentioned Cowan, Lorentz or Joshua.

Sam Colangelo and Tristan Luneau the next great ones or something?

They would be solid pick ups, but Sennecke is the real key to the deal.

Matthews and Nylander aren’t being traded. Just stop.

How do we trade our 2 best players and not #one D or centre in return?
More bad asset management.

Can’t trade Matthews unless a center is coming back in the deal.
Otherwise trading Matthews leaves the team with only Tavares, Roy and Laughton at center.
At the very least McTavish would have to be one of the players in the Ducks package.

@CKPS1876 You do realize this site is more wishful thinking and a tossing of potential trade ideas right? If those two big names were to be traded at some point (And who is to say it could not happen? No-one thought the Rantanen deal that came out of nowhere was going to happen let alone him getting dealt 2 times in the same season. ) I think Clarky17 was pretty accurate on the return rate for both of those players although I think the Matthews deal would involve a extra leaf player in the mix. No offense Clarky but I would add the player and then swap out the 2 2rd round picks in 2026 for a 1st instead in 2027. Good Post though.

@ Clarky and Stryker10 First off great target in Sennecke, he is the PERFECT piece but, how bout getting a bit more of a need back as well. AM34 goes to the Ducks for Sennecke, R McQueen and Solberg. McQueen is a Centre and Solberg is a LD I think. That gets us a future cornerstone player with Knies in McQueen and a future top pairing Defencmen in Stien Solberg. Even if we had to add a little sum sum to get the Ducks to bite on this I’d do it. Sets us up nicely moving forward. Why the Ducks do it? Cause they could use a number 1 Centre for their playoff run this year and next. Then They can decide if Matthews is a guy they wanna move forward with.
