How in Hell did we miss on not getting Bourque and Lybushkin for what Nashville did. A 2nd in 2027 and a 3rd in 2028? I thought I was reading a misprint! That is a steal.

True but it seems like a pretty low price to pay. It was brilliant of Nashville to pull it off. If they would have offer sheeted Bourque in the 5-6 mil range, they would have had to give up a first and a third in 2027, so if they sign him it is a screaming bargain.

Bourque will sign for $7.5 or above. What and see. He wasn’t signing an offer sheet lower tan $7.5m.

Yes Champ, that’s why it was genius for Nashville to get him for a 2nd and a 3rd over 2 years. If they offer sheeted him at $7.5 it would cost them a 1st, 2nd and 3rd next year.

@Hrenkin, Lyubushkin has no restrictions for trading or movement.

He was just part of doing business. In Nashville's case they might keep him because they are thin on D. Just frustrating have all these bottom signings when a gem like Bourque could have been had.
