id be ok with bringing reims back but only if we ship out bernier. History has shown that that tandem does not work well.

Roll Sparks and Bibeau between minors and NHL
Have that Swedish goalie play with Marlies all year

Sparks 25 games Bibeau 25 games Swedish goalie 22 games. think AHL 72 games

Draft 2-3 goalies wait on them to develop

B. There will definitely be a goalie drafted with their second/third round picks but it's a weak year for goalies so no more than one I would guess. In a year's time the Leafs make a big push and go after one that would be left exposed for the expansion draft and that's when it will get interesting.

When expansion draft happens the players not protected can only be picked up by the expansion team.

Once the draft is done all exposed players not picked just go back to their team.

Toronto doesn't or any team for that matter benefit from expansion draft. only expansion team gets exposed players. I repeat only expansion teams can get exposed players.

Craigger12. I don't think you get what I meant. If you read up on the expansion draft rules you'll realize that some teams will have to leave some good young players exposed because they won't be able to protect them. In that case it would benefit them to trade those players before the draft to get something instead of losing them for nothing. Bolts and Ducks will be in a real spot as they will have to leave good players unprotected.

no one thinks, I hope, that you can pick exposed players. Bolts, Penguins, and Ducks will all have decisions to make on which goalie to protect in expansion draft, thus making 3 really good goalies availabe for TRADE. that's where the Leafs should/will find their next goalie, in that situation. Drafting goalies at 30 and 31 overall is ridiculous, especially since neither of them are top tier prospects.
