Miller only has one year left on his contract, will be 30 at that point and will be looking for term and money.
At that point Leafs can’t afford him as Matthews will be looking for his extension
Miller has also had only this one, past season when he topped his regular 60 - 70 points to record 99.
Boeser spends a substantial amount of time on injury reserve.
Boeser also needs to be resigned and his qualifying offer is $7.25, awfully pricey.
I wouldn’t do this trade but I can see many would.

Yeah WB49 I think there are better options out there for Nylander, Kerfoot and Holl.
I’d prioritize securing cap space as well as good players in a trade.
Bowser and Miller don’t provide cap space and Miller might not resign.
Chicago and Arizona both need scoring and goaltending so let’s off Mrazek’s contract there plus Nylander for a return. Many options exist with these trade targets.
There are also many teams that would value Kerfoot and Holl. I continue to like McLeod and Zacha but you could likely only get one plus a mid round pick.

As I said weeks ago…. the number one priority is a number one goalie. Dubas may say he’s not worried but he’s got to be.
Mrazek, kerfoot, Holl, Lilygren and a pick to Ducks
Gibson and Manson to Leafs.

He isn't struggling, he's got a 922 save pct. Looks burnt out to me. He's a really scramble goalie, more like Hasek than Freddy. Goalies like that get worn down quicker.

Burnt out from what? He played 5 times in December, 8 in January, and 5 so far in February. 6 of his last 13 he’s given up four or more. I hope he stands on his head in the playoffs, and maybe he will. But I’d be less surprised if he didn’t .

I would not trade Kapanen. Leivo, Carrick, Martin could all be used to add a solid, defensive type D-man that is physical. Or just sign one in free agency and trade the above for late round picks.

not that I want to trade JVR, but since a lot of people do. here's one I would do.
JVR, Bernier, Pitt 1st for Calgary 1st, 2nd, and TJ Brodie.
then Leafs need to find goalie as none if their system are good enough.
Maybe Reimer on two year deal.

Wayne Simmonds has got to go. Love the guy’s attitude and effort but he just isn’t of value anymore. Between the leg pass attempts, no look pass attempts…. Know your limits Wayne…. you’re not “that†Wayne.

Leafs have the worst 5on5 save pct and GAA since December 1…. that’s three months. Leafs don’t need a cheaper back up, they need a number one. Find a way to get Fleury for now and worry about next year in the off season. Campbell as your number one equals another first round exit.

@RLF they're slipping back day by day. As it stands they're 5th in the division and barely in a WC spot. Depending on how the leadup to the deadline goes I can see them throwing in the towel one more time.
That all depends on how they look between now and then though.

Other than Gibson I don't see a goalie that may even possibly, become available by the deadline, better than Soup and Mrazek. That's the issue with this spot.
Upgrade the top 4/ 6 all you want but Soup and Mrazek like they're here for the playoffs.

I just don't see them trading their franchise goalie unless it's a huge trade. Probably looking at something like Nylander, Kerfoot, Campbell for Gibson and Rakell. Not sure Leafs have the stones for something like that. Then Mrazek also has to be moved as they can't have over $10M tied up in goaltending.

only Leafs fans could have their team in on every free agent, and every player rumored to be getting traded. Stamkos is not coming to Toronto unless he does so for a discount, and he won't do that. Buffalo and Detroit will both outbid the Leafs, as will Rangers who may be his best chance to win.
Subban at 9 million is a complete joke, and Babcock doesn't like the way he plays. that's why he's not on Team Canada. Gone are the days when the Leafs would just throw money around (thanKfully) . Leafs mamagement knows this. fans need to get on board.

I'm not sure who said anything about subban but I totally agree with you on that one. However, stamkos still is a possibility as the leafs will be able to offer the most off the books money in marketing and endorsements. On paper it would look like he took a discount but in reality he would be making like 12 per year, which is in and around what others have been rumoured to offer. It's far from set in stone but there is a possibility atleast

if the Leafs do anything it will be to get another top ten pick and a goalie, likely one of the Ducks' goalies. not get rid of #1 pick or take on salary dumps. Since Gibson is likely the goalie Ducks will want to keep, something for Andersen is more likely. Hopefully not JVR. depends on what other offers Ducks get.
The only "bad" contract the Leafs should consider is Datsuyk's becuase it's only 1 year and Wings would have to go big to make it worthhwile for Toronto. ie. Mantha or 1st round pick. and that's assuming the Leafs don't make a play for Stamkos.
