LOL now we get the truth. Just as biased as any average fan of their team. The Blues would be dumb to pass on Willy for Pietro 1 for 1! Considering Willy's youth, unquestioned high-end skill, untapped ceiling, acceptable cap hit and 6 years of term vs. Pietro's age (the decline approaches), clear ceiling (last year most likely) and lack of term (RENTAL) .

Nobody's buying on Allen, at least without some salary retention. Double for Bozak because of that term.

It's important to consider one's own flaws when lambasting others for theirs. Glass houses and all that.

Pietrangelo is a rental and will hit the market this summer whether Blues like it or not. Like any other player, chances are he signs with the highest bidder. I was reading an article a couple weeks ago, asking about “hometown discounts”. If the author is correct in his research and number crunching, guess how many players take a “hometown discount@ in order to remain on the team? Go lower. Lower. Almost there. That’s right. Less than 5% of re-signs are at a discount to market value. Maroon took one. But St. Louis is actually his hometown. It’s not Pietrangelo’s. And Maroon makes A LOT less than Pietrangelo does.

I just re-read the post and DeadHeadWinga response to it. Nylander alone is more than enough for Pietrangelo. If Dubas made that trade he would be fired instantly, as he should be. Even RedWing knows this. He’s just playing the role of instigator. Quite funny to see though.
