I will have to respond to this one. I thought the idea was to win the cup, but it seems all you want is to collect more D. We already have 9 NHL D on the roster, but I guess 1 more won't hurt. We should play 8 D in each game and really screw up the opponent.

Leafs already have 9 defensemen, 10 if you include Jordie Benn.
About the last thing Leafs need is another defenseman.

On the other hand, Vejmelka would be the perfect addition to stabalize Leafs goaltending.
Arizona would need to take back Murray as well, as Leafs can not afford to pay Samsonov, Murray and Vejmelka next season.
For that I would send Arizona Boston’s 1st round pick (via Washington) as well as a prospect like Nick Robertson.

We can't honestly expect Knies to play top 6 with no NHL experience. I believe Leafs do want to start him in the playoffs or else Dubas would have traded for another top 9 forward. Hopefully Knies is ready.

ROR has played with Acciari so is more familiar. Also, if we play Knies, I think better to play him with ROR who is a great 2 way player and should make Knies's transition easier.

I'm kind of on the fence here. Knies has the ability to play bottom 6 (unlike Nick Rob) so I'd like to see him in there, but I'm not sure how good he's going to be.
