Split up Marner and Matthews. The way Marner has been playing id put him on the 4th line.

If points were all that matters I would agree Jminn. He's been horrible in every aspect of the game except for some good passes at times. It's what we've all watched for years.

@LL stats people don’t seem to notice all his turnovers. He seems to be one of a few guys not buying into what Berube is selling. Still won’t dump the puck in and go after it. Yes it’s not as pretty but it limits turnovers and keeps the other team on their toes and wares them down. We still have too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Still the reason we won’t win in playoffs.

I also don’t see why people are trashing Marner!

He’s not perfect but he’s our best playmaker, puck carrier and PKer.

He will give the puck away, yes, but he has the puck more than anyone else.

To say put him on 4L is utter nonsense!

He will be a player who is missed if he was on another team. I like this teams make up. They aren't perfect, but I feel they are going to be ok. It's a tough league.

Ok, so some of you like Marner and it seems some do not.
Marner is a good player but he will never change the way he plays because he thinks what he is doing is fine.
Hat needs to happen is yes, put him on a different line than Matthews and force him to play with other players.

For Example;

Knies Matthews Domi
McMann Tavares Nylander
Patcherity Holmberg Marner
Lorentz Kampf Pare
Not Reaves send to minors!

This will force him to shoot more, we hope, and possibly piss him off to lift his no trade clause!

If not let him play out the year, Nd let him go to another team July first, probably Columbus for $13 million.

Then make an offer Micro Rattinen for $13 million over 7 yrs.

This cry baby suck will never change and Toronto will never win with this Core Four of Bankrobbers!

Also Captain Underpants is not playing up to potential because he can't handle the pressure of being captain.

Did you honestly expect the coach was gonna change the way this group plays? It’s not 1970. The players run the show not the coach. Domi is awful at centre (and not much better on wing) …. But he’s Tie’s son and people love that. Reaves, Robertson, Patches, Mcann, Benoit…. not an NHL player in that group…. That’s the biggest problem.
