Schenn will not be a difference maker as a 3rd line center just the same as O’Reilly wasn’t a difference maker 2 years ago.
I would not trade Minten for Schenn straight up as Minten will be Leafs 3rd line center next season with another year of ELC and a full career in front of him while Schenn will be 34 this summer and Leafs stuck with paying him $6.5 million per year for 3 more years until he is 37.
No thank you.

Luke Schenn, on the other hand would be an upgrade over Timmins ($1.1) on the 3rd pairing but would cost ($2.75) for another year after this one so salary would have to go back to Nashville.
Would they take Domi off of our hands if Leafs were to make that 4th round pick a 3rd round pick?
