Ummmm. unless i'm missing something going on between mcdavid and edmonton that i don't know about i'm pretty sure this won't happen. Even if mcdavid was disgruntled with edmonton i'm sure adding bouchard would be a non starter. Also even after taking bouchard out i think edmonton would still ask for kapanen and kerfoot and johnson with marner to get mcdavid alone. Edmonton says no to ceci and that 1st doesn't need to be protected. so mcdavid for 4 players and a pick. that sounds about right.

I still say no. the future of the team is riding on a 5 year Matthew's/ slash taveras plan and you give up the next 5 years of 1sts. lol (I may be wrong but we don't have a first in 2020) that's a laughable "ohhh stop it now babe" in my mind! Leaves ruined for foreseeable future.

I read somewhere 20% of picks picked after 20 in the first round plays a full season worth of games. That makes me think mcdavid is worth giving those up. Those forwards should be dominant. Hell take any 4 players from 2014-2018 selected between 20 and 30 would you not lose all 4 of them and marner for mcdavid and a 10th overall pick?

So I misspoke saying take any of the picks in that range but in the first two years pasternak and boeser are the only two I wouldn't want included in said deal.
