Carolina is desperately in need of scoring and have cleared cap space with the free agency of Max Pacioretty.

Leafs desperately need defense.

To Carolina: Willie Nylander, Topi Niemala

To Leafs: Brett Pesce , Seth Jarvis.

Pesce can play with Morgan Reilly.
Jarvis can slide into the 2nd line RW slot.

Nylander would fit perfectly with Aho while Niemala would be a future replacement for Pesce.

Should work for both teams.

I was thinking something similar like Nylander and Liljgren for Necas and Pesce.

I think giving up Necas is a non starter for the Hurr.
He is just starting to break out.

Carolina does need offence, but I can't see them moving Jarvis. He just turned 21 this year and is a 40 point player. If Nylander doesn't re-sign there, then they are left with Niemela for Jarvis which they wouldn't do.

Here’s the problem with the canes it’s next year almost all their top guy are up so is it smart for them to trade for a guy that is also up after this year.

I would think Nylander would love playing with Aho after years of SLOW MOTION Tavares.
I would doubt Carolina would have any problem resigning him.
Also Pesce has only one year left on his contract so bothCarolina and Toronto would be in the same situation when it comes to resigning the two main pieces in the trade.

Seems like a really good fit, filling the needs of both teams.

WB49. I don't disagree that Nylander for Pesce is good framework. I put this in many proposals. One just recently. I think you are undervaluing Jarvis is my point. I don't think the Canes would make the deal if Jarvis is included.
