To Toronto: Eberle (50% retained)
Larsson (50% retained)
Wright

To Seattle: Nylander, Brodie

Cap in:5.67M
Cap out:11.96M

Saves us around 6.3M in cap space. Can try Eberle with his old linemate JT, then most likely let him walk next season. Gaining Larsson and losing Brodie is a major upgrade on Defense, imo. Especially the physicality he brings. Could easily be our top pairing with Reilly. Wright could thrive as our 3C, maybe we toss in Holmberg to even it out. Don't see them giving us Beniers.
Thoughts? Way off, close...?

Let me see if I have this right.
You want Seattle to take back:
Eberle: $5,500,00 x 1/ 2 = $2.75
Larsson: $4 x 1/ 2 = $2
Nylander: $6.9
Brodie: $5
Total: $16.65

Hmmmm!

Not sure Seattle does that either. Maybe less retention. As far as Larsson being a “major upgrade” over Brodie…… absolutely not.

Here's some stats, just for reference.

Brodie: +10 14 points 111 blocks 47 hits

Larsson: +27 33 points 173 blocks 222 hits

Brodie is 6'2" 187lbs
Larsson is 6'3" 210lbs

Stats aren't everything, but there is a major difference between them. 2 different animals. Retaining Larsson, probably unlikely. But Eberle, I don't see why not for 1 season. They have the cap space and Nylander is substantially better and younger then him.
