The offence loses a bit of punch but gets potential over current skill in the top 6 but the trade off is improved defence and goaltending.

Non of Laf chytl or kakko belong on the top line so just get a couple of superstars instead of extra depth pieces because the top 6 need a lot of improvement.

I'd make that Mathews trade and Marner trade in a heartbeat.

I don't think NY has the cap space, but if they figure it out, I'm in.

Mathews isn't going anywhere; Marner on the other-hand; should be dealt in my opinion instead of Nylander.

In my view that is a substantial overpayment by Buffalo.
Thompson though not of Matthews caliber is a #1 center while Dahlin is already a #1 defenseman.
Buffalo would be crazy to do this and take on Matthews upcoming $13.5 salary making a mess of their cap.

I don’t see Marner getting you Rangers “Kid Line”.
Three high end young players for Marner would be sweet but I can’t see Rangers (Drury) doing it.

Obviously Tavares isn’t going anywhere as he has already stated!

As to the lineup:
Kakko is a right winger and Lafreniere a left wing.
Backlund is a far superior 2nd line center to Domi.
