When I had my trades I'd like to see, Loxley suggested Leafs may want to add Dumba in a McBain deal.

Arz
Liljegren $1.4M
Robertson $.797M
Steeves $.734M
2024 3rd

Tor
McBain $1.6M
Dumba ($1M retained)$2.9M

Not sure it's enough. Arizona is fading. McBain only has 4 pts in his last 16 games. Dumba is a pending UFA.

If it wasn't enough, would anyone be willing to switch the 3rd for a 1st if an extension with Dumba for say 5X$4M was included?

I like it. They seem to like McBain a lot so maybe add something, but good overall.

@Goat I wouldn't be thrilled having Dumba as a shutdown guy either, but that's what he is for the Yotes and he's done well enough at it.

Guys like Slavin don't grow on trees. I'd be happy with Dumba right now. He's even grittier than anyone else (not mccabe) on the d.

Dumba is a -11 so far this season but to get McBain and fill the hole at 3rd line center I would still make this trade.

I would prefer to see Domi instead of Steeves (not that I am a huge fan of Steeves) but it would make the money work without Arizona having to retain dollars.

Bertuzzi - McBain - Jarnkrok would make a good 3rd line.
