First, he can play in Canada. He is Canadian first of all. Just so we are clear on that

What he can't do is travel back and forth between the countries to play as he would need to quarantine each time and that would cause him to miss games.

In theory, he could play every home game for the Leafs, plus visiting games against any other Canadian team if he were acquired.

For the purpose of Detroit, he doesn't travel to Canada because he is on a US team and the amount of CDN games to be played are small.

All that being said, love the player, and if they can make the contract fit, I'd do it. Prefer to swap in Robertson and keep Knies, just my preference at this point.

@T-buds he can't play in Canada. Anyone that didn't get the Vax is not allowed in arena's. I'm pretty sure he would need some form of special permission if he were to be able to play. Border crossing is pretty irrelevant in this case.

Doesn't the Leafs have a rule that everyone has to be vaccinated?

@RLF the Canadian and Ontario government does as well. Not sure where T-buds got this from.
