Should the leafs take a chance on this kid 2years left at 4.1 only 26 years old I know he had some personal issues but sounds like he's not getting another shot with the wings

I really like Vrana and would have no issue picking him up that said, you're paying too much. Stevey-y put him on waivers. Nobody wants Vrana. You take Vrana with retention for less.

Really? I don’t think it’s that nobody wants him I think when he was put on waivers the situation around it made teams shy away from claiming him I also think that Stevie Y won’t get take nothing for him.

@Goat2.0 I'm not sure what it would take or whether we should target Vrana, but his AAV is $5.25M (not $4.125M dead cap space), so we definitely need 50% retention added to any deal.

That cap hit is tough to bring on for a player with troubles that may not work out. Massive risk that the Leafs just don't have the cap space to chase.
