This may be the first Konecny trade I don't like. That's a bit steep, but I love the target.

I don’t know Bobby. With the salary retention, it seems somewhat fair. Far fetched for sure but we are upgrading Brodie, Robertson who is a health could be the factor and Jarnkrok - meh plus 2 - 1sts. For Konecny and Laughton retained by 50% (this would never happen) and Sanheim kind of seems like a win for the Leafs. They would never be able to keep all these guys but could be valuable trading assets once they won the cup. Lol.

I believe this is reasonable considering the retained salary and the fact that konecny has 2 years remaining laughton has three years remaining and sanheim just started his 8 year extension

Flyers are just Starting a rebuild and this is a pretty good package Robertson is young enough to be around for rebuild . Jarnkrok at 2.1 mill can easily be flipped to a contender for decent package. Brodie at 5 mill would be harder and all their retention spots would be used up but he expires at seasons end and they could use the flexibility.

Leafs get Larson and konecny for 2 seasons laughton for 3 and sanheim for 8 with the salary cap going up next year should be easy to keep this group together. Also get future 2nd line center in Wright who for now can play 3rd line right wing with knies and laughton. Which leaves Kampf open to play a shut down role with Holmberg and Lafferty

More depth up front and a vastly improved defense.

Unrealistic? Maybe? Nylander at 9.5 or more then Marner next year wanting a raise as well? I don't know. I'd take the shot.

Better balanced lineup than what we have now.
I like the forward group a lot.
My concern is Sanheim who, like McCabe is a good 3rd pairing defenseman but a poor/ weak 2nd pairing defender.
I don’t feel that Sanheim has the ability to cover for all of Klingberg’s defensive miscues.

Considering the Flyers are just starting their rebuild the 3 - 1st round picks would be of interest to Philadelphia.
Plus I have read that Briere is a fan of Robertson.

If u can get kovecny at half price for 2 years I say go for it

Very similar style of play and numbers nylander puts up just 1 year behind do to age.

Sorry but did you just compare Konecny and Nylanders playing style? I think they are opposites. Even though Nylander has more offensive upside, I’d prefer to have Konecny on my team. Plays with heart and grit. Nylander it’s if Elvis Stojko decided to start play hockey.

Yeah love konecny. Gta guy, heart & soul type. Would likely put up better numbers on better team. Injury history little concerning.
He's also only 26, 28 when deal ends
and could be retained.

Sanheim had a bad season but definitely not third pair guy.
Solid second pair guy. Hopefully liljegren could step up and take klingbergs spot.

Laughton would be decent third line center. Hit, blocks shots, decent on pk, adds bottom six scoring. Plus leafs center depth need work.

Larsson just came off his best season. Hits, blocks shots, good defensively. Perfect partner for Reilly.

Wright is going to be good. Hopefully he would produce decently, but he is project to be in AHL for the season so big question mark.
