Can’t saddle up on this one horseshack. Ckps is always whining. Don’t take it to heart. However, I would agree that Cowen is seemingly off the table. I think the Leafs will retain Nylander in the end. Perhaps the Leafs should sign Corey Perry.

No chance they move two young Canadian born studs in Cowen and Minten for a 31 year old. not to mention Jarnkrok.

So you'll trade a first liner and future top six guys (like next year possibly) that will be under your control and cheap, for third line guys. Then move two third line guys up to the second line.

Failing to see the logic. and the answer is not " to improve the defence.

The best rental player is already playing for us in Nylander.
