What's the likelihood knies gets the Robertson treatment and gets sent to the minors on days off to get more cap space for deadline. I think pacioretty was a negotiating tactic for Robertson.
Hakanpaa is interesting not sure how the fit that under the cap.

If I'm the leafs I approach Robertson with 3 offers
1 you sign 1 year league minimum. (This will make it easier for us to trade him if he plays well
2 you sign 4 years 1.5 million.
Both of these scenarios we approach him before the deadline to see if he still wants to be moved, hopefully he is playing well and we can get a decent return.
3 enjoy playing I. Europe until your rights expire.
My thoughts are you want a trade? Sign cheap and go earn it.

This is the coach that he couldn't crack the lineup with and that is the reason he asked for a trade. I feel like the exact reason you said this is a reasonable trade is why it isn't.

Wendy, I only really disagree with your view on Goalie prospects. I don't know if that package gets you Crouse, they seem to love him on the Utah Sister Wives. Vatrano I am skeptical to pick up, his value is high because he was putting up goals at a Matthews rate for 20 games to start last year. I would hope to swap Niemela with a lesser prospect for him and keep the rest of the deal the same.
Proven NHL players I am more likely to give up a lot for.

That's a pretty weird take, he did something you see 10-15 times a game. Weird freak accident where Nylander wasn't prepared. Is it weird to do it in pre season? Sure, but this isn't pre season for Robertson, he is trying to make this team and show he can help the team, this isn't just a warm up for him, it's a tryout.
