Just trying to ensure we have a #1 goalie in Gibson who can also mentor Woll in a good way, . added some toughness and stay at home defenders while getting two big young wingers that we should be able to sign next year. Yes it cost a lot, but we need to aim around something like these type of adds imo.

Benoit is a 7th D on a good team and he’s in your top 4. Gibson gave up a touchdown to Edmonton . A deal like this should go through Philadelphia and get you Konecny, Hart and one of their D, or Calgary.

Ckps1976 - Just feel since Philly has been playing well and are in the playoff mix, I don't feel they would be interested in doing a big swap like that at this point.

Maybe Calgary but I feel this offer above addresses some areas we fall short in. Sure the Ducks got blown out by the oilers recently and are bottom dwellers, but maybe a team to target because of where they sit now in the standings.

This is definitely a shake up trade, and still leaves time to address some added tweaks before the trade deadline.

I guess when I used the word mentor in aspects that may help him to even better himself, relieve some pressure even though Woll is 25, having two tenders on our team that could make a great tandem and could possibly help Woll.

I'm sure Gibson has dealt with many scenarios that maybe he can communicate with Woll to brighten his future even more. Don't get me wrong here I feel Woll has done us justice and seems like a go to, just that a veteran Goalie usually brings something extra to a team that can be positive imo.

@Thatguy I agree on having a tandem, and I don't mind Gibson, I just wouldn't make any moves that big in season eight now.
