These 3 top trades are hilarious these guys not going anywhere. Worthless posts. After last night Stolarz not worth anything. Especially not Walls for him and Laughton.

I can’t help but feel that sending a young, RHD, Danford, a former 1st round pick and 3 more draft picks to Vancouver for the over the hill Tyler Myers along with the inconsistent and streaky DeBrusk is an absolutely terrible idea.
If Leafs are looking to make a trade with Vancouver they might want to look at Sherwood or Connor Garland.
Definitely NOT Myers or DeBrusk.
2.) 16 Jan 2026 03:25:43
That Vancouver trade is horrific, definitely not giving up on Danford and why trade Macelli? He looks amazing.
3.) 16 Jan 2026 12:52:06
Agree with WB and Garyfaulk; too much given and not much coming back.
This trade will not tilt the ice in our favour today and definitely not tomorrow.
4.) 16 Jan 2026 19:36:41
Can’t trade maccelli for anything rn unless it’s for a Jason Robertson type. Maccelli has been so good and he’s still very young. He could very well end up being a superstar.
5.) 18 Jan 2026 12:34:54
When it comes to Danford, I'm not too sure what to make of the leafs plans about tanev, and who might replace him when his body is finished. Danford feels like that inevitable replacement.
29 Sep 2025 12:19:57
Robertson to Boston for:
Mark Kastelic RW 6'4 227lb solid hitter. (1.566M)
at least you know what you got coming back.
1.) 29 Sep 2025 14:58:18
We have more than enough bottom 6 hitters. We need some skill that hits aswell.
2.) 30 Sep 2025 02:17:55
He’s not very productive offensively.
61 games, 5 goals, 9 assists, 14 points.
I would rather see the Leafs target Evangelista.
10 Sep 2025 11:51:35
some lil moves
Colorado trades:
D-Sam Malinski
$1.4 M
RW- Cooper Gay
$873 K
For:
Simon Benoit
$1.4 M
N. Robertson
$1.8 M
Vegas trades
Keegan Kolesar
$2.5 M
Vegas gets:
Bobby McMann
$1.4 M
Ben Danford
$932 K
Kolesar has chemistry with the Roy. Add in Dakota for the third line and maybe now you see a picture forming.
Malinski is a puck moving D man with upside can play the right hand side allowing OEL to be on his left.
We don't have a lot of prospects but G Cooper adds to it as a huge young player with hands who also shoots right.
1.) 10 Sep 2025 12:33:00
Those both seem like overpays by the Leafs imo.
Malinski is barely an NHLer and not really a point producer. Gay may become a bottom 6 NHLer eventually.
Although I like Kolesar, McMann and Danford is a big overpay for a 3rd line winger with a career high 12 goals in a season where he averaged around 8 before last year. Do we really need Kolesar wince picking up Dakota, Roy, Pazetta?
2.) 10 Sep 2025 13:38:25
No way you include Danford in that deal.
3.) 10 Sep 2025 22:10:09
Malinski is a versatile defenseman recognized for his quick skating, puck-moving skills, and two-way play. He's also a physically strong player who isn't hesitant to get in front of the net and block shots.
As For Koselar I feel the target is worth the fetch and maybe in order to do it, it takes Danford, overpay or not. Sometimes targets are worth the fetch in order to have a great 3rd line.
Pez doesn't make the third line greater by any means imo. oh well.
4.) 10 Sep 2025 22:25:49
Cooper Gay
The Edina, Minnesita, native combines strong hands with impressive skating ability, using both to generate speed through the neutral zone and navigate around opponents.
His imposing size, 6-foot-5 and over 220 pounds at 23 years old, further enhances his game.
"When he attacks in the offensive zone, he can use his reach to prevent the defenseman from getting the puck. When the opponent is along the boards, Gay can shut them down quickly with a smashing hit that will knock them off of the puck. " -Vogt.
5.) 10 Sep 2025 23:51:55
Absolutely no way Leafs send Danford to the Knights for a 3rd line winger.
I like Kolesar but that is a huge overpayment!
6.) 11 Sep 2025 01:49:49
You r still not that guy lol.
7.) 11 Sep 2025 13:14:22
Thatguy. Anyone can read a scouting report, that doesn't mean they become top players because the report talks abut the good that they do.
Malinski is a smallish (5'11") 3rd pair at best D-man. He was 26 before he cracked Colorado's lineup playing just under 16 mins a night, which is less than any Leafs D-man last season. He played very little PP or PK time. Is that really what the Leafs need?
Cooper Gay is a big man, no doubt. He is another undrafted guy that may or may not turn into something, but likely bottom 6 player if he does. A lot of his production last season came on the PP. Not much 5 on 5 production. He is going to need time to develop and get up to speed first at the AHL level and then if, and only if, he can do that, eventually a shot at the NHL level. He is about 50/ 50 to make the NHL.
And you want to give Benoit and Robertson for these two? No thanks.
8.) 11 Sep 2025 21:44:35
Malinski as you say smallish doesn't mean he doesn't play hockey in a style we couldn't use. Maybe he can quarterback a 2nd line pp.
What I feel is important is that he can play the right side or left side.
Don't get me wrong I like Benoits heart but I'm sure Malinski has more to offer than Benoit.
You know, I'd love to see the same time on the ice Robinson gets and give it to Cooper. I bet that he shines more now, or eventually.
But that's my opinion I guess.
27 Aug 2025 03:39:21
Just a lil fun ( cause I don't think the Sabres would ever consider it)... UNLESS....
Tage Thompson wants out of Fuffalo, asks for a "trade"
Trevs gets a buldge,...WE ALL DO, knowing he would make the perfect top 6 player ( 3 arizona boys,...on a mission for a first line Dream Line.
Leafs accomadate a trade, and throw what we have at them.
To Leafs:
TAGE THOMPSON
Levi
Buffalo Gets:
Cowan
Robertson
Danford
Woll
Thrun
Maccelli
2026 3rd
2027 2nd
2028 1st
1.) 27 Aug 2025 12:13:11
So your trading away both top prospects, out developing stater, 2 players we traded for 2 months ago and the rest of our good draft picks for the next 3 years.
That's probably the dumbest moves I've ever seen.
2.) 27 Aug 2025 14:51:50
This seems like a lot of me. As much as I like Tage.
3.) 27 Aug 2025 19:17:16
Huge overpay by Leafs.
4.) 27 Aug 2025 21:26:04
Well lay out your scenario for a trade that would allow Tage to be a leaf. IMO you got to give to get and I know for a fact Tage ourscores cowan, danford and Robertson combined and he is still young enough himself to keep on making a difference.
The difference of us (Hrenkin) is that I'm all in to set the team over the top and creat the best line in the league while still keeping a core of other plkayers we have now to keep a deep playoff contending team, . whereas you want the future to bring a stanley cup. : ( That to me is kinda stupid considering our window right now) .

Just to be open and honest
I feel Samsonov now has played very noble for us.
Previously in the year, I was trying to trade Sam for Vegmelka in a deal here,... but now,... I feel Vegmelka from the yotes would be a great target for us.
You cats name the price/trade
1.) 30 Jan 2023 02:04:24
The issue with going after Vegmelka is that he has term and isn't going to be had cheap.
2.) 30 Jan 2023 03:27:45
As RLF said, Vejmelka is fairly young, playing on a dumpster fire team and still holding down the fort, with term. Be prepared to spend a lot.
16 Jul 2022 00:07:30
Rielly- Tanev
Sandin- Zadorov
Gio- Lili/Benn
How can we attain this line-up?
1.) 16 Jul 2022 00:43:19
By deciding we want Bedard.
2.) 16 Jul 2022 13:12:52
@LL. LOL That would get us close to him.
3.) 16 Jul 2022 20:11:04
Lol. Nice one leafslife.
06 Dec 2019 03:37:24
We need sandpaper upfront, on D and a back up.
Ducks are bottom 5 in the barrel.
A couple of players in this scenario have injuries but imo Dubas at the very least should be approaching the Ducks who we all know need some youth injected into their future for a trade that swaps our needs
Targets:
Manson -RHD physical D-man who plays more of a stay at home type.
Ritchie- RW - may not have the totals that some may value but at least he can be a role player who pushes the forte of being physical and creating a better balance our team craves to offset the skill.
Miller - a reliable backup that improves our odds of whatever back up we have in our system and is on our cap range
Offer
Johnsson
Liljegren
Timashov
Hutchinson
CeCi
2020 2nd
for the three mentioned above
1.) 06 Dec 2019 08:06:48
All 3 have been mentioned extensively in trade talks on this site. The concensus is usually none of us would be unhappy with any of them but by no means for alot. Ritchie is a penalty taking machine, Miller is old and Manson, well I like Manson. If the price is right gladly take all 3.
15 Aug 2018 04:05:47
Rick Nash signs for 4.5 mil for one year.
Better than Ennis or what?
1.) 15 Aug 2018 04:53:54
I could see him forming a real solid line with Kadri and Brown. They're all extremely solid defensively and have all shown the ability to score. If the price is right (3-5M for one year) then Nash would probably be worth bringing in.
07 Feb 2018 21:11:46
JVR
Gauthier
Carrick
3rd
to New Jersey for:
Boyle
Severson
2nd
We gain another young right D.
Boyle comes back to toronto for a longer playoff run while also knowing Toronto has the best sick kids hospital...and sometimes,...that's hockey
Now trade
Bozak, Leivo to Pitts for a first
Then...
Toronto trades,..Pitts 1st, NJ 2nd, our third and Liljegren, Polak to Arizona
for OEL and Domi
NEW LINEUP
Hyman - Matthews - Nylander
Marleau - Kadri - Marner
Domi - Moore - Brown
Martin - Boyle - Kapanen
Morgan - OEL
Gardiner - Hainsey
Dermott - Severson
1.) 08 Feb 2018 00:15:10
Yeah Zaitsev looks like he is going to set career highs from the bench.
2.) 08 Feb 2018 08:45:20
haha BigWilly, should of been Zaitsev/ Severson (3rd pairing) better?
11 Jan 2026 03:19:44
"I have talked with lots of high up peeps"
"stay tuned"
As a musician, . I'd say you're out of tune.
Here's my song to you. "troll troll troll your boat gently down the stream".
29 Sep 2025 12:13:42
I don't mind the "Ingram route"
24 Sep 2025 17:09:13
I don't get whhat some posters feel for the window of opportunity?
Cowan seems allright for a young gun but I bet anyone 100% of the players in the NHL would rather play against Cowan rather than Wilson.
Wilson still has a few good years in him and if you want to outrough and grind your way through the playoffs, the wilson way is a far better path for our window right now.
13 Sep 2025 20:24:02
They better consider it. McDavid has given them 10 years of service. He will walk by the end of the year cup or no cup. Edmonton has already peaked imo and Mc can just let the agent take over talks and pass it off just like JT did.
It would be in Edmontons best interest not to deny the thought of Mc walking so if all they want is the extra cap space so be it.
11 Sep 2025 21:44:35

Good angles Clarky.
What impresses me is Morgan and how these last two years has developed into somewhat of a late bloomer whereas before I may have put him on our trade block but now I feel he has earned his stay.
Yes he could still be a little tougher in the corners in our end but not every player with skill has that "no fear" attitude along the boards. Morgan has turned into the horse we need on the backend. Good on him and great for us. :)
24 Jul 2022 16:32:20
1-time to paNICK
2- all in the nick of time
3- don't be a nick and drunk post.
18 Mar 2022 01:16:25
RLF Bang on!
16 Mar 2022 02:04:38
Lets not forget that every team pllllays the maple Leafs hard because of all the huge publicity and media coverage.
Yes having small players does not help when the opponents know they can out muscle or start the hitting game to be the more dominate alpha kinda of opponent in that respect.
We've been patiently waaiting for this team to grow but Dubas seemms sto believve that those types of battles comes in time and becomes almost a learnt behaviour.
I know most fans/ hockey minds realize that our leafs need outside help (bigger, tougher, grindier.
02 Sep 2018 20:49:16
What about Matthews, Nylander for McDavid?
