Would be much improved but gonna cost us a lot more than that. Weegar has 7 years left. Brodie and Robertson both expiring contracts and SJ probably wants a 1st + prospect for Ferraro as he is still young.

Not sure how much more for Weegar, another B prospect and a mid pick?

Also, not sure Ferraro garners a 1st, that's a bit much for a middle/ bottom pairing guy.

I like your first trade but i will never trade Niemela for Ferraro!

Ferraro is a guy living in North West Territories for last 2 seasons:

-31 and - 22!

@Richierich why are you judging a guy on SJ based on his +-? There's a reason it's a dead stat.

I like Weegar and if Calgary was to agree (I think you would have to add a little) I would like to see Weegar in the Blue & White.
I wouldn’t trade for Ferraro (LHD) as I don’t see that the Leafs need him.
I would prefer to keep Niemala and the 3rd round pick.
Benoit is playing better and better every game and brings lots of physicality for minimum wage, to the left side of the 3rd pairing.
Unless Timmins begins to improve his play I don’t see him as a #6 RHD
Will Borgen would be a great fit as the RHD on Leaf’s 3rd pairing if Seattle was considering trading him.
