If I'm Treliving I play let's make a deal with both Domi and Bertuzzi. Because both of them can do very well when they play with an elite talent like Matthews. Domi passes Bertuzzi crashes net and Matthews gets hat tricks

But the price on these two players is everything

Domi 3 years 2.5 million
Bertuzzi 3 years 3.5 million

If you can get those two at the right number then it still allows you to add a top 6 forward as free agency

I think he has much more to give on that top line but Bertuzzi in his last 13 games 8 goals 4 assists. In that 13 games stretch he still had 5 games in a row where he only had 1 point.

His number would have to come down but Leaf's could add years 3.5 million 5 years that deal would take him to 34 years of age. Leaf's could argue they are taking chance as he can be inconsistent.

Is $3.5 up to 5 years a fair deal Bertuzzi.

weathermackin, Spring must be coming, because you have really warmed up to Bertuzzi after wanting to send him to the arctic for most of the season.
If he wants to be here, maybe 5X$4M could get it done, but I think that is on the low end. With the cap going up, every agent is going to be asking more for their clients from the bottom players to the top players and everything in-between. The one thing about Bertuzzi, is he even has a hockey Canada red maple leaf tattoo over his heart. Playing in Canada for him is a want I believe.

I don’t think Domi can get $5.5 again. Teams have to worry about his production. We see if Leafs try to sign those two b4 season ends .

Mackin. I assume you meant Bertuzzi and not Domi. I said maybe if he really wants to be a Leaf, he takes 5 years at $4M per, but that is low end. I'm not sure what you are getting at with the $5.5M comment.
