Toronto signs Tavarse to extension for 4 years @ 4 million per year. Final contract to stay at home.
Sign Domi LW/C 4 years @ 3.5 million per year .
Toronto signs Bertuzzi 4 years @ 4.5 million per season.

So..for the hard cores that don't think the core four are done, well congrats you have loyalty blindness! Something has to give and yes Marner is the best piece in the trade no argument, that said I watched a line up without a dialled in Marner and no Mathews win on pure 3rd/4th liners heart and made Boston look like last years failures! Then you put Sammy back in net, Mathews playing, and bam you lose! The only complaint or worry I have of this line up is Woll likes being injured!

Pesce is currently earning ($4.025M) and is reportedly looking for a substantial raise with term
$3.5M is just not going to get it done.

4 Years for an aging, slow as molasses Tavares is far to much term.
2 years max or he gets the Golden Handshake.

Lyubushkin is alright but not nearly good enough to play on Leafs top pairing.
An upgrade like Matt Roy, Sean Walker or Dylan DeMelo is needed.

I think Domi will be looking for closer to $4M per year and like Tavares, 4 years is too long.
3 years max or goodbye.
It’s time the team took back some control from the players.

I would be pleased to see Bertuzzi return for $4.5M but I think it is not enough to satisfy him on what might well be his last contract.

Fowler is already 32 years of age and will be 33 before Christmas.
He is injury prone and we only have to look at Brodie to see what happens to defensemen as they hit that 33 - 34 year age barrier.

Gudas has already very bluntly stated that he is not interested in playing in the media zoo that is Toronto.

I think it is a stretch to believe that Cowan is going to be ready for 1st line duties in the NHL.
