Ouch! Kessel Kadri 3rd Rounder to Carolona for 5th Overall and Semin. Thoughts? Not sue I like it.

I think it's a great trade. Gives us two potential stars and let's them grow together and we use the other pick in the first round hopefully bundled with phaneuf to go peer and get a stud defenseman. This will start the rebuild and after a few more good draft years not following Edmontons footsteps we could have a team that will be competitive in Toronto finally

Personally I don't know why Carolina would want ANOTHER center when they have both Staal bros,Lindholm and Skinner now they wanna add Kadri? A center like Lindholm would have to come back to the Leafs if they want Kadri added.
Kessel = 5th overall,Semin
Kadri= Lindholm
Kessel is worth more I think but if the Leafs got #4 and #5 overall that would be amazing!

Read somewhere a Phaneuf to San Jose deal this summer. What could the Sharks possibly offer the Leafs? Any guesses?

Actually read that is a D-Man (Phaneuf or Gardiner) Bozak and the Nashville 1st (24th) for Semin, and SKINNER and Carolina 1st (5th).

SO many problems there. going to get WAY better returns for both Kessel and Phaneuf. No Nylander in your line-up. He's already miles head of Leivo-Soshnikov-Frattin-Kozun-Carrick-Bailey. So not only are your trades way off base, so is your final line-ups.
