Why are the leafs keeping Kadri we have austin and maybe stamkos I would trade kadri now while he is worth somthing.

1st. We don't have Stamkos "yet" and I didn't thing the Leafs brass was stupid enough to sign him but after the 2016 draft, I don't know what in the world they are think!
2nd. I don't think the Leafs want to through Austin to the wolves. They will protect him with third lone roll and power play time until he gets use to the NHL game. I would think that around Christmas, they will move him to the second line. Then they can move a center at the trade dead line.
3rd. Why trade Kadri when you have an older Bozak who would get you around the same on a trade?

Last time I checked you needed 4 centers and I think Bozak would get traded first

They did exactly what they wanted in the draft, drafting size to add to our skill. It was not a bad draft by any means

Kadri, at 25yrs, is a capable winger as well, as are Marner, Nylander, Hyman to name a few. Bozak is just a 30 yr old center. Past time for Bozak to go.
Through the course of the season you may need 1 or 2 players to play center.
Most teams have 5 or 6 centers available to them. (Arizona has 9 and a bunch more coming up from the minors.) Centers should have no trouble learning to play the wing anyway. Only issue should be right side or left side.
Both Marner and Matthews will see vets and size on their lines.
