Krebs has done little during his time in Buffalo to warrant trading for him.
That said, Robertson has done little this year to warrant keeping him.

Leafs do not need another LW (Tavares), they need a 3rd line center.
Left wingers: Knies, McMann, Pacioretty, Lorentz, Dewar, Holmberg, Grebenkin
With Tavares having a marvelous, bounce back year, I certainly would not be replacing him on the 2nd line with Krebs.
Can Krebs be Leafs future 3rd line center is the question?
Krebs: 28 games, 3g, 7a, 10pts, +2
His stat line says he might be a good fit on the 3rd line.
Krebs is earning $1.45 x 1 more season after this year
Would Buffalo take Kampf ($2.1) along with Robertson for Krebs opening up a little cap space for the Leafs.

Knies - Matthews - Marner
Pacioretty - Tavares - Nylander
McMann - Krebs - leafs also need a 3rd line RW
Lorentz - Minten - Dewar/ Homberg

I think Krebs might be a good target for the Leafs and Buffalo appears to need a shakeup.

Robertson isn't a first round talent, almost Buffalo drafted Nylander, if I'm not mistaken.

What is the issue with JT as 2C? He's been very good. Why are we still talking about this instead of a 3C. Even if a better 2C comes along, just make JT 3C. He doesn't have the speed to be a top 6 winger in the NHL. I'm not even sure he was a strong enough skater 10 years ago, nevermind now.

I believe the teams you target for 3c and other needs are Sea, Uta, Chi, Ana, VGK. Interdivision trades very tough to make.

I agree RLF, I think JT is still perfectly capable to play 2C this year. JT and Patches seem like they have some good chemistry so far, so hopefully it keeps up and gets stronger with more games together.
