Hey Leafs fans is was reading an article that Jackets are interested in trading Savard. Also how about Duclair as a Leaf

To Jackeats. Kerfoot Holl and J Anderson
To Leafs Savard
Also free up 1.5 mill in cap

To Senators Engvall and Dermott
To Leafs Duclair and 2nd

4.1 +.7 - 3.5 +2= .7 savings

So if u like more D but less O while saving a minimum contract worth when all done then it’s a good idea. Kerfoot contract length and age makes leafs not have to add Anderson and Columbus add something. Due to cap savings between Savard and holl plus holls term makes this close to a wash maybe little on Toronto favor so whatever kerfoot is worth minus that little bit is owed to leafs.

Duclair? - engvall .175
No one - Dermott 0





So as long as Duclair takes no more than 3.075 then great

1.5 leaf cap today+.7 1st deal saving +.7 min contract spot Duclair replaces +.175 of engvall buried contract.

Will Duclair take this and if so he replaces kerfoot list offence for basically nothing

Duclair is already a UFA. you can't make a trade with Ottawa for him they don't own his rights.

Leafs don't have the cap space to add anyone to their roster except their own farm hands.

Even with that, they'll need to dump salary to have a buffer, and salary dumps are expensive in this C.V. season.
